“Project Rock” is Dwayne John’s clothing line with Under Armour. To promote new releases in the United Arab Emirates, I developed a campaign with celebrity trainer Coach Nic. The aim was to show the versatility and aesthetic appeal of the new collection in an engaging and relatable way for the UAE target demographic.

Concept

An upbeat, intense and inspiring mood was envisioned for the project. Project Rock embodies an identity of grit, perseverance and discipline, which are the core values we sought to imbue in the campaign. This thought process informed the shooting style and storyboard, making use of fast movements and quick montage editing to create a compelling feeling when watching.

We curated the strategy for the campaign with a deep understanding of the UAE consumer market, and subsequently designed the soundtrack and aesthetic feel of the promotion accordingly. Seven Gym, a trendy, upcoming fitness center in Dubai, was the location of choice for production due to its relevance and audience appeal.

The campaign marked an important step in Under Armour increasing their brand presence in the UAE and heavily supported the opening of their flagship store in Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world.
